TERMS AND CONDITIONS  

The following booking conditions form the basis of your holiday contract with S.A.R.L Ski Stay Verchaix, trading as: Chalet & Apart La Terrasse de Verchaix. They set out our respective rights and obligations and you should therefore read them carefully. 

Making a booking and payment of deposit  

By reserving on-line you confirm acceptance of the following terms and conditions. The party leader will be responsible for all payments due in respect of the arrangements purchased. Once we have received our 25% deposit. We will then confirm your booking by email. Please check the details are correct as you may not be able to change them at a later date. Deposits are non-refundable.  In addition, it is essential that you take out appropriate insurance cover. A booking fee of 1% is payable for credit card payments, or you may pay by bank transfer with no additional cost. 

Payment   

The balance of the holiday must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to the commencement date of the holiday. For bookings made within 8 weeks of the commencement date the cost of the holiday is payable at the time of the booking. If payment is not made in full by 8 weeks we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and levy the appropriate cancellation charges outlined below. 

The cost of your holiday booking   

We reserve the right to amend the prices at any time before your booking is confirmed. You will be given the correct current price of your booking arrangements at the time of confirmation. Costs charged by suppliers with whom you have a separate contract, even if arranged by us, may be subject to surcharges.  

Once your booking has been accepted we guarantee there will be no increase to the agreed price unless you change your booking in any way. 

Cancellations or alterations by the client.  

Should you wish to make any changes to your booking arrangements after they have been confirmed, you must advise us in writing. Whilst we will endeavour to assist, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any such requests. Any alterations made to the existing booking, except additions or transferral of names will be deemed a cancellation and the charges, as set out below, will apply. It may also be necessary to levy a small administrative charge to process any alterations. Should you or any member of your party need to cancel your chosen holiday once it has been confirmed then the person who signed the booking form must immediately advise us in writing. Cancellation charges will then be payable as set out below, to compensate for the cost of making your booking and the risk that we may be unable to re-sell your cancelled arrangements. These charges are calculated from the date on which we receive written notice of the cancellation.

Cancellation by us   

 Very occasionally, it may be necessary for us to cancel a confirmed holiday. We must reserve the right to do so. If we do so you will receive a full refund of all the monies paid. We accept no legal liability and will pay no compensation. Very rarely, we may be forced to curtail your holiday after the date of departure where circumstances amounting to 'force majeure' occur as described below. In this very unusual situation, we regret we cannot make any refunds, meet any cost or expenses you may incur as a result, or pay any compensation.  

 Force Majeure  

We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by 'force majeure'. In these booking conditions, 'force majeure' means any event, which we or the supplier of the service (s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.  

Client Liability   

When you book a holiday with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made at the time to us or the third party concerned. At the same time, you must indemnify us against any claims (including legal costs) made against us as a result of your actions. We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or to be likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any third party (including other clients and staff) or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate the holiday of the person concerned without notice. In this situation, our responsibilities towards that person (including any return transport arrangements) will immediately cease and we will not be responsible for meeting any costs or expenses they may incur as a result. We will not make any refunds or pay any compensation to the individual involved or to members of his/her party or associates wishing to curtail their holiday as a result.   

Security  

We take the issue of security seriously. Please note there will be shared access, to our premises/facilities and as a consequence you must act appropriately at all times to minimise security risks. Please lock your bedroom door and deposit the key with a member of staff on leaving the premises.   

Special Requests 

If you have a special request, please clearly note it on your booking form, or if after booking make it in writing to us. A special request will only be binding if we have confirmed, in writing that it will be complied with.  

General Conditions  

Chalets La Terrasse de Verchaix does not accept pets. For fire safety and legal reasons we operate a nonsmoking policy. Clients may only smoke outside on the ground floor terrace and must use the ashtrays provided. As we are a licensed establishment we kindly request that you do not consume food or drink on the premises that has not been purchased from us. Check in time is between 15.00hrs and 21.00hrs and check out is 10.00am. 

Early arrival and late departures are subject to availability and additional services will incur an additional charge of up to 35 euros per person.
