general terms of sale ChaletsCocoon 2016-2018
Reservations and booking confirmation When a reservation is requested, it becomes firm and final after the first deposit of arrhes. Once this payment is received by bank transfer , it implies the client’s full acceptance of the general terms of sale.
Payment of balance The balance of payment must be received no later than 1 month priorto the arrival date, with no reminder forthcoming on our part. The bank transfer charges are payable by the guests. Reservations made less than one month prior to the arrival date are confirmed only if accompanied by payment of the full amount of the stay.
Modifications and cancellations In the event of a cancellation, "Chalets Cocoon"shall withhold any deposits or balances paid. This applies to the total booking for the chalet and does not cover the guests or the withdrawal of one or several guests. Guests who have not paid the balance due 1 month prior to their arrival date are considered as having cancelled their stay and therefore have no right to any refund for said cancellation. The costs of cancellation are therefore withheld in compliance with the abovementioned cancellation conditions. In the event a stay is interrupted for any reason whatsoever, Chalets Cocoon" shall in no case be required to refund the difference. Rates for 7 nights include: • The rental of the whole chalet • The supply of sheets and bathroom linen (beds made on arrival) • 1 bag of wood / day for the fireplace • Internet WiFi connection ( Broadband ) • Water, electricity, heating • End-of-stay cleaning (excepte kitchen ) Rates do not include: • Tourism tax (forwarded in full to the Mairie (Town Hall) of the Commune, and payable on site 2,47 € /pers. Over 18 years old/night • Extra services as Breakfast delivery, food & beverages delivery, catered meals delivery,.
Check-inand handing over of keys On arrival, clients check in at the "ChaletsCocoon". Reception of the holiday residence specific to their stay. Each guest undertakes to take possession of the premises on the scheduled date and time, during office hours, and to pay the required deposit on the same day. In the event these conditions are not met, the "Chalets Cocoon" reserve the right to refuse the handing over of the keys and to rent out the apartment to another party within a period of 24 hours. Apartment rentals extend from Saturday 5 pm to the following Saturday before 9 am (except for special situations), at which time they must be vacated. The above rental period does not apply to stays of over one week. In the event of departure after 9 a.m., a surcharge of 150 € shall be billed to the customer.
Site inventory, cleanliness and deterioration The residence must be informed of anycomplaints as to the inventory, the site inventory and/or the equipment or state of cleanliness of the apartment within 24 hours from the time of arrival. Beyond this time, the guest will be considered as having tacitly acknowledged the exactitude of the inventory, the site inventory and the equipment and state of cleanliness of the apartment. The guest must inform the residence of any deterioration or breakage having occurred during their stay. The guest will not perceive any refund in the event of the technical team’s intervention in the apartment during the length of their stay. No objects installed in a chalet may be replaced with any another. Any object transferred to another chalet shall be considered as missing and the corresponding sum shall be withheld from the guarantee deposit. Guests shall be held fully responsible for items placed at their disposal in their rented chalet. To this end, in the event any of said items are found missing or deteriorated, guests shall bear the costs of their reconditioning and/or cleaning, particularly linen, or the cost of repairs in the event of degradation of premises (walls, ceilings, sanitary equipment or other) following the evaluation made by the residence.
Safety Clients must see to it that all doors and windows of their apartments are closed and locked before they go out, and keep all valuables. In the event of theft without forced entry, "Chalets Cocoon" shall in no way be held responsible. Moreover, guests shall leave no item or piece of equipment an the balconies of their apartments or in the common areas of the Chalets Cocoon and shall see to it that their ski lockers are firmly shut. "Chalets Cocoon" shall in no way be held responsible in the event these instructions are not observed. The top bunk bed is not recommended for children less than 6 years old (Article 6 – Décret n° 95-949 du 25 août 1996). The access to the hot tub & sauna is forbidden to unaccompanied children under 18 years old.
OccupationThe rented premises concern the rental and occupancy of the premises for holiday purposes only. The rented premises and furnishings are for the private use and enjoyment of holiday tenants. The rental of the apartment in question is only valid for the maximum number of people specified in this document. Any violation of the above shall incur a penalty payment of 600 € per person per week, all of which without prejudice to any damages and interest. Theholiday tenant shall pay a deposit of 1000 € (by credit card Visa , Mastercard ) on the handing over of the keys. The Compagny shall return if requested the deposit by post within 10 days, or destroyed, having ascertained to its satisfaction the condition of the apartment and deducted the cost of any damages, non-payment of any charges or of non-returned keys. In case of lost key 70 € will be charged. The guest is required to leave the apartment in an acceptable state (Furniture returned to their original position, refrigerator and dishwasher empty, dustbin empty). If these guidelines are not respected, a 100 € fee will be charged. In the event of any disturbance of the peace, the managers of the apartment building will issue two warnings only. If these remain without effect, the Sarl "Chalets Cocoon" reserves the rightto retain the customer's deposit or/and to evict him from the apartment, with the help of the police. Such an eviction will terminate the customer's stay in the building definitively, and no compensation or refund will be payable.
Dispute Any dispute as to the execution of any of the above clauses shall come within the sole jurisdiction of the Albertville authorities under the French law.
